Author · Storyteller · Advocate
Kristin Tracy Porter has spent more than two decades learning that a life interrupted is not necessarily a life diminished. A survivor, advocate, and lifelong believer in the possibility of more, Kristin has built her life around challenging assumptions about disability, healing, independence, and what it means to live fully in a body that does not always cooperate.
She holds a BA from Albright College, a Master's degree in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University, and a second Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Hofstra University. Her education and lived experience have shaped a deeply personal commitment to helping create a world in which people with disabilities are not simply accommodated, but are expected and encouraged to live full, meaningful, fabulous lives.
Kristin lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, with her husband, Michael.
"The stories we are most afraid to tell are often the ones the world most needs to hear."
